Support the emergency response and recovery from recent international disasters

May healing spring up quickly

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly. (Isaiah 58:8)

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) urges your support for those affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti; monsoon flooding in Kerala state, India; earthquakes resulting in a tsunami and volcanic eruption in Indonesia; and Super Typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines, China and surrounding areas. Due to lack of widespread media coverage of these disasters, PDA needs your help to ensure that it can continue providing emergency response and long-term recovery support.

Priorities for each disaster include WASH (water and sanitation for health), restoration of livelihoods, water sources and food security. The needs in each context are vast and diverse and will require substantial resources. Through your prayerful gifts, we know that God’s healing may spring up quickly and that hope will be drawn out of the chaos.

The needs for the response will be great. God’s people are once again called on to stand in the “GAP” — Give. Act. Pray.

Give: Financial support for relief efforts can be designated to DR999999, which supports the church’s response to international disasters. Gifts can be made online, by phone at (800) 872-3283, or by check, which can be mailed to Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), P.O. Box 643700, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700
