ATTENTION: On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 10 a.m., the First Presbyterian Church of Lakewood, located at the corner of Clifton Avenue and Third Street will hold a historical service reflecting a church service from the early beginnings of this congregation.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Join us as we continue our celebration to 150 years of faith, prayer, and service led by Pastor Rick LaFever who has promised to dress the part!
We will have a bulletin with some historical tidbits included as we worship in the same manner our great-great grandparents would have.
As you arrive to the church listen for the bell still being hand rung from the Narthex.
You will enjoy hymns during the service that resonate as strongly today as they did in 1868. Listen to the Word of God from the King James Version of the Bible.
Afterwards, please join us for refreshments in Fellowship Hall, where for the first two years after the church was built the Sunday morning service was held until the inside of the Sanctuary could be completed.
SO, COME ONE, COME ALL!
The building is handicap friendly, free parking in three municipal parking lots across Clifton Avenue, across Third Street and one behind the church between Third and Fourth Streets.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
