Hurricane Florence Relief at Westminster PC, Beginning September 24th

Beginning on Monday, September 24th at 7:00 am, Westminster launched its second consecutive hurricane relief effort to aid our fellow Americans devastated by Hurricane Florence. Once again, we will have a 54 foot trailer parked on the Great Lawn, donated (once again!) by the Bob Kortenhaus family and Speed Global Services, ready to be filled with relief supplies by Middletown residents who want to help the people of the Carolinas.

You will remember the great good that we at Westminster did together last year in aiding the victims of Hurricanes Harvey in Texas and Irma in Florida, as well as by sending $5000.00 to Puerto Rico to help the residents there recover from Hurricane Maria. Now, with Florence, we have another chance to provide help and to restore hope to the beleaguered Carolinians.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help sort and pack the relief supplies that will start to trickle in on Monday, increase throughout the week, and come in heavy on the weekend. Please sign up for a 2 hour slot in a time that works for you – but please do your part in this great crisis. A sign up sheet is available on the table in the Narthex.

Our drive will be completed during the week of October 8-12 when the donations are delivered to the Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, North Carolina which was devastated by Hurricane Florence and the floodwaters that followed.

Relief supplies especially needed:
1. Disinfectants
2. Clorox wipes
3. Shovels
4. Mops
5. Water Pushing Brooms
